Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt Odds and Preview

It’s time for another short track race this week following Richmond – but this week is different! The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series hits Bristol, Tennessee for the Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway. This is the only dirt track race on the NASCAR schedule that instantly changes everything.

Broadcast: FS1/MRN/Local NASCAR radio affiliates.

But oddsmakers feel that a Cup Series driver that is entered into the Truck Series race has the best chance of winning. That driver, Joey Logano, is one of only two Cup drivers that have ever won a dirt race at Bristol. Logano won the inaugural Cup Series Bristol Dirt Race two years ago and now he is the favorite to win this weekend’s Truck Series Bristol Dirt Race.

Logano enters the race as the lone favorite at +400 but he’s not running away with anything. Ben Rhodes is also a favorite at +500. In fact, there are a total of five drivers coming in through +1000 which signals that things are tight at the top. Here are the favorites through +900 to win the Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt at Bristol outright according to Jazzsports.

Joey Logano +400
Ben Rhodes +500
William Byron +650
Chase Briscoe +700
Zane Smith +900
Ty Majeski +900

Favorites to Win the Weather Guard Truck Race on Dirt Outright

Joey Logano jumps off the page when you look at the odds this week. The two-time Cup Series Champion has won a dirt race on this track in the Cup Series and is the defending Cup Series champ! He also finished the Cup Series dirt race in the 3rd spot last season. Logano does not jump into the Truck Series often so when it happens it’s because it’s a track where he runs well.

Ben Rhodes enters the race at +500 and he’s the defending race winner. Last season he took the checkered flag after being the leader for 95 laps. Rhodes was the 2021 Truck Series Champion and followed that up with the Bristol win and 13 top-ten runs in 2022.

William Byron is also jumping into the Truck Series this weekend for some added seat time before the Cup Series race. Byron has already won two Cup Series races this season. Byron has a reputation as being a solid dirt track racer.
