FUNDORA VS MENDOZA ODDS & BETTING PREVIEW

Fundora vs Mendoza Odds & Betting Preview

This weekend, the WBC interim light middleweight title is on the line, as the undefeated champion Sebastian Fundora is set to make his third defense against Brian Mendoza. Considering Fundora’s fighting style, this should be an exciting fight to watch.

If you want to raise the stakes and are planning on making some bets, check out our take on the fight, along with the betting odds from Jazz Sports and our final prediction.

Fundora vs Mendoza Preview

Sebastian Fundora is a very tough fight for anyone in the division, because of his incredible height and reach. In this fight alone, he will have a 7-inch height advantage over Mendoza, and a staggering 10-inch reach advantage.

Even though he doesn’t usually maximize his reach advantage fighting from the outside, Mendoza will have a tough time getting on his inside. Mendoza has solid power and a decent knockout rate. Mendoza could use this power to his advantage, and catch Fundora as he moves in aggressively.

Fundora’s tendency to take the fight to his opponents puts him in the way of danger sometimes, allowing much shorter fighters to land some solid punches. This was visible in his past fights with Erickson Lubin and Sergio Garcia. Landing some good power shots to the body before moving up could work well in the favor of Mendoza.

Still, it is important to consider that the fighters Mendoza has been knocking out didn’t have the best of records. In fact, none of his first 16 opponents entered the ring with a winning record.

Fundora vs Mendoza Prediction

Even though Fundora is one of the tallest fighters in the division, with a massive 80-inch reach, he doesn’t use it to his advantage. He likes to get on the inside of his opponents, and land power punches on the inside. This approach does make his fights more exciting for the fans, however, fighting from the outside would be better for him. Mendoza has a strong chin and is a formidable punching power in his own right, but I still predict that Fundora will come out victorious once again this weekend.
