ATP 2023 MIAMI OPEN QUATER-FINALS BETTING PREVIEW

ATP 2023 MIAMI OPEN QUATER-FINALS OVERVIEW:
The 2023 Miami Open is getting to its final stages and the last eight players from the ATP circuit are already set in the Quarterfinals.
There are candidates, hopefuls, and surprises, the best recipe for a great ending to the second Masters 1000 of the ATP season.
This tournament is being held on the outdoor hard courts of the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami, Florida, United States from March 21st to April 2nd.
The current monarch in singles competition is Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, while in doubles the reigning champions are Polish Hubert Hukacz and American John Isner.
The event has lamented the absence of #2 in the ATP rankings, Novak Djokovic, because of his unvaccinated Covid-19 status. He is the winningest player in the tournament’s history, with six titles.
ATP 2023 Miami Open Quarter-finals Preview:
Carlos Alcaraz, the best player in the men’s tennis world, secure his spot in the Quarterfinals with another solid victory, now against Tommy Paul (#16), by 6-4, 6-4.
The 19-year-old Spaniard is 18-1 since returning from a two-month layover due to an abdominal injury and it seems there is no way of cutting off his increasing rhythm of play.
Nevertheless, his next opponent, Taylor Fritz (#9), is probably one of two men who can get at least close.
The American just fell from the top 5 of the ATP because he was not able to defend the title in Indian Wells, but along with Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev, he is one of the most in-tune players in the circuit right now.
In the Round of 16, Fritz disposed of Holger Rune (#7) with ease, 6-3, 6-4.
Undoubtedly, Alcaraz versus Fritz could be the match of the tournament so far.
Finish Emil Ruusuvuori got through the draw with a mix of good performances and luck, but now he will have to face the always-growing and improving Italian Jannick Sinner (#10).
By a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, and 7-5, Ruusuvuori beat Botic van de Zandschulp (#26) who had defeated Casper Ruud (#3) before. Meanwhile, Sinner blew past Andrey Rublev (#6), 6-2 and 6-4.
Another almost mission impossible is in Cristopher Eubanks’ cards. The American, ranked #119 in the ATP, has been more than surprising so far and is having, literally, the best tournament of his career. He beat Adrian Mannarino, 7-6, 7-6.
However, he will now have to beat Medvedev, who is 20-1 since the Australian Open, with three consecutive titles and one more final appearance in the recent Indian Wells.
The unorthodox Russian is too eager to get back to the top of the tennis world, as he did in 2022. He almost seemed in a rush to destroy Quentin Halys (6-4, 6-2) in the Round of 16.
Francisco Cerúndolo (#25) also seeped into the Quarterfinals. The best-ranked Argentinian player has been getting some attention in his mission to lead the sport for his country to the spotlight again. He recently offed Lorenzo Sonego 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Next, in front of him, there will be Russian Karen Khachanov (#14), who last took out Stefanos Tsitsipas (#3 in the world and #2 seed in the tournament), by 7-6, 6-4.
Khachanov is one of those players that is a menace when he is connected but has a hard time getting to that mental spot consistently. Nonetheless, the circuit knows his natural talent.
In doubles, the favorites are Dutch Wesley Koolhof and British Neal Skupsi, the #1 team in the world and, obviously, the #1 seed of the tournament.
ATP 2023 Miami Open Quarter-finals Predictions:
The winners of the Quarterfinals of the 2023 Miami Open will be Carlos Alcaraz in three sets, Jannick Sinner in two, Daniil Medvedev in two, and Karen Khachanov in two.
