The Los Angeles Dodgers open a key four-game series with the Colorado Rockies. The Dodgers trail the Diamondbacks in the National League West by half a game while the Rockies are three games behind first place.
Stripling comes off the disabled list
(8-3, 2.68 ERA, 1.13 WHIP) was on the disabled list with a inflamed toe on his right foot. He was stellar in May and June but he struggled through July, posting a 4.73 ERA in five starts. Stripling is approaching the most innings he's thrown in his professional career and he has already surpassed his major league career-high with 104 innings this season.
The right-hander didn't have a good month last July but he refused to give in to walks, recording 30 strikeouts and surrendering just five walks for a 6/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB). Overall he has 119 strikeouts against 15 walks for a 7.93 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) in 104 innings across 27 appearances (16 starts).

Anderson lasts just four innings against the Brewers
(6-4, 4.05 ERA, 1.21 WHIP) allowed seven earned runs on seven hits (three home runs) and three walks with four strikeouts across four innings in an 8-4 loss against the Brewers last Saturday. Anderson entered the game with a solid 3.69 ERA and he had not given up more than five earned runs in a start since his season debut on March 30. The left-hander is winless since July 4 but he has a 3.65 ERA in 11 home starts and opponents are hitting just .231 in 131 innings across 23 starts this season.
