Who Will Be Drafted First?

Rui Hachimura -240

Brandon Clarke +160

This is a chalk play but it's worth it. Hachimura is coming off the best year of his career. He averaged 19.7 points and 6.5 rebounds on 59.1 percent shooting from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range in 30.2 minutes over 37 games for Gonzaga.

That breakout junior year moved Hachimura from a late first round pick to a lottery selection at most mock drafts. The half Japanese, half Beninese forward has power, good size and excellent athleticism and his defense has improved, as he averaged career-highs with 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks last season.

Sam Vecenie of The Athletic has Hachimura pushing his way into the top 10, NBADraft.net projects Hachimura going No. 11 to the Timberwolves and according to Sports Illustrated draft expert and NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Timberwolves liked Hachimura ever since the combine because he fills a positional need for them.

"It just comes up every day, in casual conversation with a scout, an agent, a coach. Right now, the worst-kept secret in the NBA is that the Wolves have likely promised Rui Hachimura at 11, that's a thing that everyone discusses."

NBADraft.net has the Celtics taking Brandon Clarke at No. 20 while Sports Illustrated's latest mock draft has Hachimura's Gonzaga teammate going to the Hawks at No. 17.

NBA Draft Pick: Rui Hachimura -240 to be drafted before Brandon Clarke
