Portland Trail Blazers Have to Win Game 3 vs. Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors visit the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday night.

The Warriors went on a 14-3 run to close Game 2 and beat the Trail Blazers 114-111 and take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. In Thursday's back-and-forth game only Seth Curry (+13) and Stephen Curry (+10) posted plus/minus (+/-) ratings of +10 or better while combining for 53 points, the second-most ever by brothers in the playoffs.

Klay Thompson scored 24 points on just 8 of 22 shooting but he was 4 of 8 from 3-point range beyond and Draymond Green had 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks.

Damian Lillard led the way for the Trail Blazers with 23 points and 10 assists, CJ McCollum had 22 points and five assists and Seth Curry finished 16 points and four steals off the bench on 4-for-7 from 3-point range but the Trail Blazers became the second team in playoff history to make 18+ 3-pointers and lose.

Lillard and CJ McCollum both shot under 40 percent for the second consecutive game, combining to make just 15 of their 39 shot attempts (38.4 percent).

The Warriors outrebounded the Trail Blazers 50-37 on Thursday and they also outscored them 54-32 in the paint and had 27 trips to the free-throw line against 18 by the Trail Blazers.
