The Cardinals have now won four straight overall and the Dodgers will be without their best player this season. as Cody Bellinger gets the day off. Bellinger is tied first in MLB with seven home runs and is third among qualified hitters with a .426 batting average. He's also tied first in the majors with 19 RBIs.

Dodgers Roster & Starting Lineup vs. Cardinals

1. Joc Pederson LF
2. Justin Turner 3B
3. Corey Seager SS
4. A.J. Pollock CF
5. Max Muncy 2B
6. David Freese 1B
7. Enrique Hernandez RF
8. Rocky Gale C
9. Walker Buehler P

The sample size is small but Bellinger has been getting on-base at an incredible rate and he's hitting home runs left and right.

If he keeps it up it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for him to finish with a .300 batting average and at least 44 home runs and 110 RBIs. As for today, he should pinch-hit or replace one of his teammates on the field late in the game.

Walker Buehler (1-0, 6.75 ERA, 1.38 WHIP) will start for the Dodgers. He struggled in his season opener against the Diamondbacks, allowing five earned runs on five hits in three innings but he had a no-decision as the Dodgers won 8-7 on March 31.

Buehler bounced back with five strong innings at Coors Field last Saturday, allowing one earned run on three hits (one home run) with four strikeouts and two walks in a 7-2 win against the Rockies.

He was 1-0 in two starts against the Cardinals last season, throwing a combined 15 shutout innings.

The Cardinals will turn to Michael Wacha (0-0, 1.54 ERA, 1.63 WHIP), who has two quality starts this season but doesn't have a win to show for either.

Wacha made his second start last Saturday, holding the Padres to one earned run on three hits with seven strikeouts and eight walks in 5 2/3 innings to get a no-decision in a 6-4 loss. The right-hander didn't face the Dodgers last season and he was 0-2 with an 11.57 ERA and a 2.43 WHIP in two starts against them in 2017.
