LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers visit Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors, with both teams heading in opposite directions.
The Lakers snapped their five-game losing streak but they are practically eliminated from the playoffs while the Raptors look to get back on track after taking a beating in Cleveland.
LeBron James finished with 36 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes to help the Lakers overcome a 20-point deficit in a 123-107 win against the Bulls last Tuesday, ending a five-game losing streak. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 24 points off the bench and Kyle Kuzma returned after missing two games with an ankle injury and added 21 points.
Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points after sitting out Sunday's 125-104 win against the Heat but the Raptors trailed most of the way and the Cavaliers crushed them 126-101. Kyle Lowry had just 14 points for a Raptors team that showed signs of being tired in their third straight road game. Serge Ibaka will not play against the Lakers because he was suspended three games for his physical altercation with Marquese Chriss.
The Los Angeles Lakers are:
5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games
The Toronto Raptors are:
3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall
3-7 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game
1-6 ATS in their last seven home games against a team with a road winning percentage below .400
1-6 ATS in their last seven home games
These two teams met on November 4 and the Raptors beat the Lakers 121-107 in Los Angeles, without Kawhi Leonard, but both teams had completely different rosters.
The Raptors will win this game but the Lakers will cover, they have nothing to play for but I can't pass on them getting so many points and they're no longer under pressure.
NBA Pick: Lakers +10
