NFL Wild Card odds, preview and picks

After a wild Week 17, it's time to clear your weekend schedule because the NFL playoffs start on Saturday.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Saturday, January 5 at 4:35 PM ET

NRG Stadium

65°F

Plenty of sunshine

Winds from the SSW 5 mph

Gusts: 7 mph

Coverage: ESPN/ABC

The Colts come into this game with plenty of momentum, winning nine of their last 10 games and they outscored opponents by 10.75 points during their four-game winning streak. The Texans went 11-5 despite starting the season with three straight losses and they outscored opponents by 11.75 points in their last four home games.

The two meetings between these two teams were decided by three points each, with the home team winning both games. The Colts might be on fire right now but I feel like people are underestimating the Texans, they were more consistent and laying just 2 points with them provides tremendous value. The Colts are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game while the Texans are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games against AFC opponents.

NFL Pick: Texans -2 (110) at Jazz Sports

Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys

Saturday, January 5 at 8:15 PM ET

AT&T Stadium

42°F

Partly cloudy

Winds from the SSE 6 mph

Gusts: 8 mph

Coverage: FOX

These are two of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, which explains the low line and although the game is in Dallas and the Cowboys have been tough to beat at home, I like the Seahawks to upset them. Seattle has a significant edge at quarterback with Russell Wilson and on the sidelines with Pete Carroll, this is a team that has been here before and their experience can make a difference in this stage.

The Seahawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games while the Cowboys are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games against a team with a winning road record and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 playoff games.

NFL Pick: Seahawks +2.5 (-110) at Jazz Sports

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, January 6 at 1:05 PM ET

M&T Bank Stadium

52°F

Mostly sunny

Winds from the W 7 mph

Gusts: 9 mph

Coverage: CBS

Both teams are playing well, the Chargers have won five of their last six games while the Ravens have lost just one game with Lamar Jackson as their starter and they outscored their opponents by 7.3 points during their three-game winning streak.

Baltimore has a solid defense and an impressive running game but their passing game is limited and although they beat Los Angeles 22-10 on the road on December but that actually helps the Chargers because they had time to study that game and prepare better, they have plenty of weapons on offense and more balance and I like them catching 2 points here.

The Chargers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight playoff games and 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 road games while the Ravens are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games against a team with a winning road record and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

NFL Pick: Chargers +2 (-110) at Jazz Sports

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears

Sunday, January 6 at 4:40 PM ET

Soldier Field

42°F

Mostly cloudy

Winds from the NW 7 mph

Gusts: 10 mph

Coverage: NBC

The Bears have an incredible defense that can stop any team in the NFL and although their offense isn't that impressive, you don't need to score many points to win games when you are so dominant on the other side of the ball.

That said, the Eagles are heating up at the right time and regardless of the outcome, this season has to be considered a major success story for them because of all the injuries they had to endure. I don't think they can beat the Bears on the road but Nick Foles will play and we all know what he's capable of in big stages, so look for the defending Super Bowl champions to go down putting up a fight.

The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, 6-2 ATS in their last eight playoff road games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game while the Bears are 2-5 ATS in their last seven playoff home games and 15-40-1 ATS in their last 56 games after accumulating more than 150 rushing yards in their previous game.

NFL Pick: Eagles +6 (-115) at Jazz Sports
