The Golden State Warriors visit the Milwaukee Bucks in a potential NBA Finals preview on Friday, continuing their Eastern Conference road trip.
These two teams met on November 8 at ORACLE Arena and the Bucks won 134-111 behind 26 points from Eric Bledsoe, who scored seven straight points during a big third quarter in which the Bucks outscored the Warriors 41-28. Giannis Antetokounmpo added 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Bucks while Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 24 points and Kevin Durant had 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds but Golden State had 18 turnovers.
The Bucks shot 65.0 percent inside the arc (43-for-66) and outrebounded the Warriors 46-38. Draymond Green didn't play for Golden State in that game and they lost Stephen Curry midway through the third quarter after he strained the adductor muscle in his left leg. Green will not play tonight either but Curry is available and he can be a difference-maker. The three-time NBA Champions is playing at a high level since coming back from the disabled list, averaging 33.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists on 53.4 percent shooting, including 54.5 percent from 3-point range in 33.3 minutes over three games.
The Over is:
4-0 in Golden State's last four games following a straight up win
4-0 in Golden State's last four games following a straight up win of more than 10 points
6-1 in Golden State's last seven overall
8-3 in Golden State's last 11 road games
11-3 in Milwaukee's last 14 home games against a team with a losing road record
25-10 in Milwaukee's last 35 games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game
17-7 in Milwaukee's last 24 home games
36-15 in Milwaukee's last 51 overall
Golden State trailed Cleveland 64-58 at halftime last Wednesday but they were able to win convincingly, 129-105 on the road. Stephen Curry scored 42 points on 11 of 20 shooting, including 9 of 14 behind the arc and he also had nine rebounds and seven assists in 34 minutes while Kevin Durant added 25 points on 9 of 16 shooting, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range. He also had 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks.
Milwaukee has scored 103 or more points in all their 23 games this season, they lead the NBA with 121.1 points per game and Giannis Antetokounmpo is having an MVP-calibre season, leading the team with 27.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 steals. When Curry and Durant play at their best their opponents are helpless and the Bucks have an explosive offense so I really like the Over, even with this high total.
