The surging Oklahoma City Thunder look for payback when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Monday. These two teams met on October 21 and the Kings won 131-120 in Oklahoma City behind 26 points from Iman Shumpert.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder have won three straight games, including last Saturday's 110-100 victory against the Phoenix Suns. Paul George scored 32 points with 11 rebounds and Steven Adams added 26 points and 10 rebounds to carry the load for Russell Westbrook, who missed his sixth straight game, the first five with a sprained ankle but last Saturday he didn't play for "personal reasons" and he's also been ruled out for tonight.
The Thunder are averaging 110.9 points per game (13th in the NBA), they grab 47.1 rebounds per game (7th), dish out 21.3 assists per game (25th) and allow 105.5 points per game (5th). Paul George leads the Thunder with 24.1 points and 2.5 steals, Dennis Schroder is averaging 16.7 points per game off the bench and Steven Adams adds 15.9 points and a team-best with 10.1 rebounds.
The Sacramento Kings are coming off a tough 132-112 road loss against the Houston Rockets and now they've lost their last two games. Buddy Hield was 10-for-17 from the field and finished with 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the Kings, De'Aaron Fox added 19 points and Marvin Bagley III had 16 points off the bench but the Kings shot just 45.1 percent from the field and they let the Rockets make 20 of 47 3-pointers.
The Kings are averaging 113.7 points per game (9th in the NBA), they grab 44.6 rebounds per game (18th), dish out 24.4 assists per game (10th) and allow 116.3 points per game (28th). De'Aaron Fox leads the Kings with 19.0 points, 7.0 assists and 1.3 steals, Buddy Hield is averaging 18.8 points per game on 43.7 percent from 3-point range and Willie Cauley-Stein adds 15.3 points per game off the bench.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are:
8-0 ATS in their last eight games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game
7-0 ATS in their last seven games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game
10-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up win
9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall
7-1 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS win
The Sacramento Kings are:
2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall
1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning straight up record
1-4 ATS in their last five games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game
1-5 ATS in their last six games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game
1-5 ATS in their last six games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game
1-5 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a winning road record
The Kings won the last meeting between these two teams despite turning the ball over 20 times and getting out rebounded 63-54 but this is a much different Thunder team, with Paul George playing at an All-Star level and Steven Adams proving why he's one of the most underrated players in the league, crashing the boards and facilitating plays with the ball in his hands down low. These two teams are heading in opposite directions and the Oklahoma City defense ranks 5th in the NBA, so they can slow down the up-tempo Sacramento offense.
