The UCF Knights try to stay undefeated when they visit the East Carolina Pirates at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Saturday night.
Central Florida Knights
McKenzie Milton completed 17 of 29 passes for 296 yards and one touchdown and ran for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter to help UCF earn a 31-30 come-from-behind win over Memphis in their first significant test of the season last Saturday.
UCF was down 30-14 with 2:04 left in the first half but they outscored Memphis 14-0 in the second half. Taj McGowan finished with 81 rushing yards and two touchdowns on four carries and Gabriel Davis made six receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown.
The Knights are averaging 303.5 passing yards (18th in the nation) and 252.0 rushing yards (11th). Central Florida ranks 7th with 45.7 points per game and 27th with 19.5 points against. McKenzie Milton has passed for 1797 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions, Adrian Killins Jr. has 385 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 76 carries and Gabriel Davis has 33 receptions for 493 yards and five touchdowns.
East Carolina Pirates
East Carolina has lost two straight games, including last Saturday's 42-20 home setback against Houston. The Cougars led 14-0 before the midway mark of the first quarter and the Pirates didn't reach the end zone until 5:15 left to play.
Reid Herring completed 26 of 42 passes for 229 yards and two interceptions and Holton Ahlers was 11 of 18 for 137 yards and one touchdown and he added 45 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Trevon Brown caught 13 passes for 153 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Pirates are averaging 277.8 passing yards (28th in the nation) and 123.3 rushing yards (114th). East Carolina ranks 109th with 23.3 points per game and 100th with 32.2 points against. Reid Herring has passed for 1502 yards, six touchdowns and seven interceptions, Holton Ahlers has 248 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 38 carries and Trevon Brown has 36 receptions for 500 yards and three touchdowns.

There's a significant talent disparity in this game and it will be hard for East Carolina to overcome it and keep things close. UCF likes to run up the score and senior linebacker Pat Jasinski will come back this week after missing significant time against Memphis with an ankle injury.
