The Oregon Ducks visit the Washington State Cougars in a can't-miss Pac-12 clash and one of the most intriguing matchups of the week.

Oregon Ducks
Oregon is coming off a hard-fought 30-27 overtime win in a back-and-forth game against the Washington last Saturday. Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal iced Cougars kicker Peyton Henry two times before he missed the game-winning field goal at the end of regulation, forcing overtime and giving Oregon a chance to win. Justin Herbert completed 18 of 32 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns and CJ Verdell ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score, on 29 carries.

The Ducks are averaging 273.3 passing yards (31st in the nation) and 209.5 rushing yards (31st). Oregon ranks 11th with 43.0 points per game and 58th with 24.8 points against. Justin Herbert has passed for 1613 yards, 17 touchdowns and five interceptions, CJ Verdell has 531 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 97 carries and Dillon Mitchell has 35 receptions for 561 yards and three touchdowns.

Washington State Cougars

Graduate transfer quarterback Gardner Minshew played well, completing 30 of 40 passes for 430 yards and season-high five touchdowns, Max Borghi ran for 43 yards and two touchdowns on six carries and Davontavean Martin had eight receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cougars are averaging 413.7 passing yards (1st in the nation) and 71.8 rushing yards (128th). Washington State ranks 15th with 41.8 points per game and 48th with 23.8 points against. Gardner Minshew has passed for 2422 yards, 19 touchdowns and two interceptions, James Williams has 260 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 64 carries and Davontavean Martin has 40 receptions for 440 yards and six touchdowns.

College Football Trends:

The Oregon Ducks are:

4-1 ATS in their last five conference games

18-8-1 ATS in their last 27 road games against a team with a winning home record

36-16-1 ATS in their last 53 games in October

The Washington State Cougars are:

No key trends

The underdog is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings between these two teams. Washington State is the best passing team in the country but Justin Herbert can put up a lot of points against any defense and the Oregon running game is averaging 209.5 rushing yards per game and the Washington State defense allows 148.2 rushing yards per game, so CJ Verdell can have a big game and him and Herbert can at least keep Oregon in the game.
