Two struggling NFC East teams clash when the Philadelphia Eagles visit the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles have lost their last two games in disappointing fashion, coming up just short in the end. Last Sunday's home game against the Vikings was a tough battle and the Eagles made a late-game surge, outscoring them 15-3 in the fourth quarter but it was not enough and they lost 23-21.

Carson Wentz put together a strong game, completing 24 of 35 passes for 311 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions and he added 26 yards on five carries on the ground. Zach Ertz also played well, catching 10 passes for 110 receiving yards and one touchdown but the Vikings sacked Wentz three times for a loss of 28 yards.

The Eagles are averaging 253.0 passing yards (19th in the NFL) and 110.8 rushing yards (16th). Philadelphia ranks 25th with 20.6 points per game and 8th with 20.8 points against. Carson Wentz has passed for 914 yards, five touchdowns and one interception, Jay Ajayi has 184 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 45 carries and Zach Ertz has 41 receptions for 437 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Hicks has 40 tackles and Fletcher Cox has three sacks.

New York Giants
Eli Manning almost helped the Giants pull off a breathtaking comeback, completing 22 of 36 passes for 326 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions but a 63-yard field goal by Graham Gano gave the Panthers a 33-31 win.

Odell Beckham Jr. also stepped up for the Giants, throwing a 57-yard touchdown pass to rookie running back Saquon Barkley, who had four catches for 81 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Beckham Jr. also had a strong outing at his position with eight receptions for 131 yards and one touchdown.

Barkley led the ground game with 48 rushing yards on 15 carries and him and Beckham Jr. have brought steady offensive firepower this season but an utter lack of stable play from the offensive line and Manning's turnovers have cost them. New York has to figure all this out as they will be going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

The Giants are averaging 262.2 passing yards (17th in the NFL) and 75.6 rushing yards (28th). New York ranks 24th with 20.8 points per game and 19th with 25.6 points against. Eli Manning has passed for 1381 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions, Saquon Barkley has 308 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 71 carries and Odell Beckham Jr. has 39 receptions for 462 yards and one touchdown. Landon Collins has 39 sacks and B.J. Hill has two sacks.

NFL Trends:

The Philadelphia Eagles are:

5-1 ATS in their last six games in October

4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games

13-6 ATS in their last 19 games against NFC opponents

8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in New York

13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings

The New York Giants are:

6-15 ATS in their last 21 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game

3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against NFC opponents

0-6 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win

The Eagles are struggling but Carson Wentz has been excellent over his last two games, passing for 659 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions and he'll build off these performances against the Giants. New York is always a tough environment on the road but this is a must-win spot for the Eagles and they're the better team here, so laying a field goal is reasonable.

NFL Pick: Eagles -3 (-110)
