so we looked for betting value in the two NLDS games and came up with two plays for Friday.
Rockies vs. Brewers
I like the Brewers in Game 2, Tyler Anderson is just 1-4 with a 5.19 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP in his last seven starts and he has struggled in his career against the Brewers, giving up 14 earned runs on 18 hits in 14 2/3 innings. Jhoulys Chacin has pitched well as of late, posting a 3.03 ERA and an 0.98 WHIP in his last seven starts and he has a 3.32 ERA in four career starts against his former team.
Most importantly, Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story and Charlie Blackmon are only hitting a combined .186 in 27 at-bats against Chacin, who displayed great poise in Game 163 against the Cubs last Monday, allowing one earned run on one hit (one home run) over 5 2/3 innings. The Rockies are 2-10 in Anderson's last 12 starts and 2-8 in the last 10 meetings against .
MLB Pick: Brewers -159 at Jazz Sports
Braves vs. Dodgers
Anibal Sanchez has pitched well this season and he's been solid as of late, posting a 2.08 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP in his last seven starts but he's outpitched his 3.62 FIP (Fielder Independent Pitching on an ERA scale), his ERAs from 2015 to 2017 were 4.99, 5.87 and 6.41 and he's 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP in seven career starts against the Dodgers.
Clayton Kershaw is 7-1 with a 2.65 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP in his last 15 starts, he's 4-0 with a 1.43 ERA and an 0.94 WHIP with a complete game in 10 career starts against the Braves and he was dominant at Dodger Stadium, posting a 2.58 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 13 starts. The Braves are 8-20 in the last 28 meetings in Los Angeles and are 10-1 in Kershaw's last 11 starts against the Braves.
MLB Pick: Dodgers -1.5 (-110) at Jazz Sports
