The PGA Tour heads to the TPC Southwind, a par-70, 7,244 yard course in Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Classic, the final stop before the US Open.
Adam Scott goes for 68th straight major championship appearance
Adam Scott (+2600) has 67 straight appearances in major championships (only Sergio Garcia has more) but he needs a high finish in this event to earn a spot in the US Open. Scott is currently 64th in the official world golf rankings but he needs to enter the top 60 to play next week.
Player to watch
19-year-old Joaquin Niemann (+3500) is coming off a T-6 finish at the Memorial Tournament last week, his third top-10 finish this year and a win at the FedEx St. Jude Classic would give him a two-year exemption.
Daniel Berger goes for third straight win
Daniel Berger (+2800) has won the FedEx St. Jude Classic two straight years. He beat Charl Schwartzel and Whee Kim by one stroke in 2017 but he has no top-10 finishes this year.
Dustin Johnson & Brooks Koepka rightly favored?
Dustin Johnson (+650) won this event in 2012 and although he's been quiet this season, he usually plays better in the summer months and Brooks Koepka (+800) had a second place finish at the Forth Worth Invitational two weeks ago.
Watch out for Peter Uihlein & Keegan Bradley
Peter Uihlein has two T-5 finishes in his last three events and Keegan Bradley (69th in the official world golf rankings) has two consecutive T-25 finishes but he needs a decent showing to finish inside the top 60 and qualify for the US Open.
