Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Washington Nationals acquired infielder Anderson Hernandez from the New York Mets on Wednesday.
He went 3-for-4 in Washington's 4-0 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday.
The move completes a trade that sent Luis Ayala to New York in exchange for a player to be named later -- Hernandez.
The 25-year-old Hernandez went 1-for-3 in four games with New York this season. Over the course of 35 career games, all with the Mets, he owns a .138 average (12-for-87) with one double, one triple, one home run and three runs batted in.
