Falcons running back Devonta Freeman left Sunday's 27-7 win over the Cowboys with a concussion, and his head injury could keep him off the field for many weeks.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Freeman is unlikely to play against the Seahawks next Monday night and he could miss more than one game.
"While it's unlikely Falcons RB Devonta Freeman will play Monday night at Seattle due to his second concussion of the season, it also would not be surprising to see it turn into a multi-game absence, either." (@AdamSchefter)
Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis created some controversy after Freeman left the game against the Cowboys by claiming he suffered a concussion the week before. Davis tweeted criticizing the way the situation was handled but he later deleted it.
The Falcons have another great running back, Tevin Coleman, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries against the Cowboys and they will lean on him heavily if Freeman can't play.
